WIP - Socks

I started these socks in January. At the time I told myself that I would do one pair of socks each month. Well it is now April and I'm still working the first pair. So today I decided to knock the first one out. I immediately casted on for the second one. I'm hoping to get it done over the next few days. Wish me luck!!

Final Count

As of today I've completed 123 miles. The race hasn't ended though they are going another 100 miles. So I'm going to keep going, should be easier to reach the next goal since spring is here.

Short N Sweet

This project was done during a CAL over at CALPals. The pattern was a bit tricky for me when it came to adding the front pieces. Once I accomplished that it was a snap to complete.

Clapotis II on Hold

I started another Clapotis. Unfortunately I ran out of yarn which was my own fault. I had 6 balls of Plymouth Yarn Bamboo which I had originally intended to be used for a scarf sized clap. Once I began though I decided hey why not just do another shawl. After all it's a fast going project. The stitches are so much easier to drop with the bamboo than they were with the SWS. This time however, I'm following the chart that's posted at the Yahoo Group. And instead of using stitch markers I'm just purling the stitch too be dropped. So now I'm waiting for Woolbearers to get some more in.

Yarn Sale

While blogging I saw this at The Lint Knitter. Gigantic yarn sale at Knit Happens. I don't know about you but I couldn't resist not grabbing some Noro Kuryeon for $4.07 a skein. They have some Silk Garden for $5.00 but not many colors left. Stuff is going fast though, hurry, hurry, hurry!

A Treat

Yes, I'm supposed to be destashing. And I am. But after completing the 100 mile walk I decided I deserved a little reward. I popped into Woolbearers today (btw I found out they are moving to a bigger location soon) and treated myself to a few skeins of Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock Yarn. Luscious!! I've always wanted to try their yarn. The thing is to find the time to get some socks knitted up.

I needed a nice quick project and this was it. It only took a day to complete it.

Crossed the Finish Line!!

Yippee, I completed my goal of walking 100 miles by April 1! Boy does this feel good. I feel so good that I'm going to keep on going to see how many more I can do by April 1. I did slack a bit on my weight training while doing all this walking so I plan to pick up the pace again.

Completed Tops

Enough about bags. How about some tops? They were completed awhile ago but I just never got around to taking pictures and posting on my blog.

Pattern: Simple Knitted Bodice
Yarn: Berocco Soft Twist, color 9482 Dulse
The carry on yarn used in the lace sections is called Sequins that I found at A.C. Moore
Needles: Knit Picks Options, size 7 and 4; 12" Addi Circulars, size 5 (for sleeves)
Modifications: I did fewer rounds of the lace sections and purl ridges

This sweater matches the Fetching fingerless gloves I recently made.

Yarn: Brown Sheep's Lamb's Pride Bulky, color M51 Winter Blue
Needles: Circular Addi Turbos size 10 1/2

The caplet matches the cable clutch that I posted about last week.
