Trick or Treat Time

I made up a few more of those treat bags that I mentioned in an earlier post. I filled with goodies and took some to work for the kids and grandkids of some of my co-workers.

Also when I was at my quilting retreat a few weeks ago,
I made up these bags for my grand kids to use when they go out on Halloween.
All three of these bags glow in the dark.

Caught Up on Blocks

I am caught up on the Block of the Month from Olde City Quilts. Next week I will get the block for November and sew it up right away. I shouldn't be so hard on myself, I started the program in July and it actually began in March. Cat, one of my quilting buds is also working on this project. Her blocks are 30's fabric and mine are reproduction. It's interesting to see how the same block looks with different fabric.

I received an absolutely lovely apron swap package from Jennifer W. It's funny Jennifer had me as a partner for the previous BTF swap. I didn't mind at all this apron is gorgeous, my picture taking doesn't do it justice. Thank you Jennifer!!!

I also received these goodies: a Halloween banner (perfect as I decorate for the holiday), Halloween socks, candy, bucket and button. Also the cutest owl fabric. I love everything!

Another Flirty Apron Swap Completed

The theme for FAS12 is Halloween/Fall. So I made my partner a reversible apron reflecting both. The apron and goodies are on the way to my partner. This was another fun swap.

Following with the theme, I made matching oven mitts and and also embroidered a few bar mop towels.

I also threw in a few other goodies to include some candy corn and pumpkin spice jelly beans as it fits the theme.

Friday Night Sew In Project

I just got home from the Poconos. I spent the week in the mountains sewing with friends. I used this week to catch up on some projects, one of them being the block of the month from Olde City Quilts. Last night I did the two of these blocks. So far, eight blocks have been given out. I still have two more to go and I'll be caught up. I'm going to try and get those two done before I pick up the block for November. Wish me luck!!

Quick Christmas BOM Project

I came across this quick Mystery Block of the Month project. The blocks will be released over 6 weeks, one block a week. The finished project will be a Christmas wall hanging. Not sure if I'm going to have time to do it but just wanted to pass the word.
