More Treat Bags

I made up another bunch of these small treat bags, this time with Christmas fabric. One of my co-workers is going to stuff them and everyone in my office will get a goodie bag at our upcoming Christmas luncheon.

BTW, this pattern is by the Happy Zombie. Check out her blog, she has some very interesting craft patterns.

Spider Web Quilt

Last month, my quilting pal Cathy and I took a class at Quilted Treasures in Atco, NJ. It was a Halloween theme class and the instructor, Sharon Densten, taught us how to make these "spider web" blocks that she designed.

I decided to use some Christmas fabric instead of Halloween fabric. This weekend I finished up my quilt. It's a decent lap size quilt that will be a gift for someone.

Bow Tucks Bag

I finally made a Bow Tucks Bag. This pattern was very difficult to understand. I had to enlist the help of Cat, one of my quilting pals. I like the finished project. This is going to be a present for my mom. I hope she likes it.

Birthday Loot

On Veteran's Day, my quilting pals and I had our monthly sewing day. We celebrate each others birthdays and November is my month. Check out all my presents. Don't I have the best quilting buddies? Now what I need is time for crafting/quilting/spinning, etc, sigh!

Fall Challenge

Awhile ago, my friend Patti, gave me and the others in our group two pieces of challenge fabric.

Well I finally got around to using it. I put it with some other fabrics and made up these table top accessories.

Now this wasn't part of the challenge but it is a fall project. I had a pack of charm squares that I picked up at a quilt show last year. I sewed them all together to make a table runner.

Fall Retreat in the Poconos

Some of my quilting pals and I went up to the Poconos for a week of sewing and quilting. This was the second year we did this and boy was it nice and relaxing. This year's retreat was at Quail Hollow Village at Beech Mountain Lakes. It was absolutely gorgeous up in the mountains.

We set up shop by moving all the furniture in the villa back to the walls. Full use was made of the dining table and kitchen counter.

I had already posted about a few of the projects that I worked on, my blocks of the month, apron and tuck ins for the Halloween/Fall FAS12, and the glow in the dark treat bags.
Here are some of the other projects I worked on.

Christmas Tree Napkins, a real fun project.

Accuquilt Chisels Die was used to make this table runner.

Of course we had to go out exploring the local area for quilt and yarn shops.

We found Another Quilt, an absolutely wonderful quilt shop that was nearby. I picked up some fabrics that I just couldn't leave without.

LOL, these knitting chickens are a hoot. I'm going to make a knitting bag with the fabric.

We also found the String Thing Yarn Shop where I picked up a skein of Dream in Color Smooshy.

We even ran into another group of quilters who were there for a week.
It was a great week. We will we could do it more often.
