Another Year Has Ended

I know, it's been almost a year since I posted here. I found that this blogging business was just too time consuming for me. I have been devoting my precious free time to my crafts instead.

It's been a busy year and I have no complaints because things could be worse, especially the way the economy is. I was able to transfer from the NY office to the NJ office of my agency. It's been great being home every night and not sitting hours in traffic on the Belt Pkwy trying to get home. On the other hand I do miss Manhattan because I commuted via public transportation.

I was able to take a few vacations. I went on a cruise through the Panama Canal in April. Last month I visited the 50th state, Hawaii for my 50th birthday with a stop in San Francisco for a few days on the way back home.

I have a new granddaughter. Airyana Aliyah was born last month. I now have three grandchildren, yikes! I refuse to feel old, LOL!

I've been involved in a relationship that hasn't developed the way I'd hoped it would. I chalked it up to the fact that it wasn't meant to be.

On the crafting side, I have completed a few crochet and knitting projects over the year. I really took to quilting however and have been spending a lot of time sewing and taking quilting classes. What a lot of fun. I now have a fabric stash along with the yarn one.

Anyway for some reason I just decided to do a quick post here. I wish everyone a Happy, Prosperous and Crafty New Year!!

Happy New Year Madelyn! You have been surely missed.

Congratulations on the new addition to the family.

Glad to hear that you are still crafting and to hear you have acquired a fabric stash.... lovin' it.

I know blogging is almost like a full time job, but when you can just drop a line or two... we love hearing from you.

A post! I hear ya, I've not kept up with my blogging either. Daily blogging is becoming more like weekly. Well, it's good to see you in blogland when you can get here.

Happy New Year to you Maddie.

Congrats on the new granddaughter. The trips sound wonderful, I would love to go to Hawaii!

The quilting bug has bitten you eh? I have several friends who are avid quilters and sewers and I just don't have the time or energy or space to add another hobby-maybe next blog post, you can show some of your stuff off :)

Thanks ladies. I wish you all the best in the new year.

I'll try and post here more often, at least month once a month.
