At work a few weeks ago, the office held a shower for one of my co-workers who was going to be a grandpa for the first time. His daughter in law was due to have twin boys which she did last Thursday. Mom and babies are all fine. Now my co-worker himself is a twin. We were teasing him that the twins would have the names of he and his brother, Frank and Franklin, LOL! I can't wait for Monday to find out their names. Anyway I was tasked to do an apron that was stuffed with baby items. I missed the shower because I was on travel but I understand it was a big success. Here's my grandpa apron. My co-worker is former military like myself so I felt the material and the sayings were fitting to the occasion.

Friday Night Sew Is a No Go
Last Friday night's sew in was a bust for me. I had been away all week for work. By the time I got home Friday evening I was so tired that all I could do was pull out the material for a project. I had embroidered this Easter egg basket last year and didn't do anything with it so I decided to make a quick hexagon table topper which I am working now.
Maybe I'll be able to participate in April's Sew In. And maybe not, it maybe the weekend of the NJ Shop Hop. We shall see.
