Cool Drinks For Hot Mama Apron Swap

Many thanks to Tammy for my pretty in pink reversible apron and all the accompanying goodies. I especially love the recipe drink cards. Bear with these pictures please, my four year old grandson took them:

Alice in Wonderland Swap Completed

The theme for Val's latest Hot Mama Apron Swap was Alice in Wonderland. You had to create an apron and include at least three tuck ins that fit theme. Here is what I created for Bridget, my partner for this swap. I made all the tuck ins (bag, oven mitt, potholder, embroidered bar mop towels) except for the book and pen. I had a lot of fun doing this.

Now this is the swap package that I received from Maggie.
There was one other item. I think it was an ornament but it was broken.

Apron Received

I received my swap package from Kerry from the latest Hot Mama Apron Swap. Kerry sent me this adorable apron, recipe book, Summer 2010 Quilts N More magazine and relish containers. The apron style has a nice twist to it, Kerry added grommets for the neck strap and the ties.

In addition to the apron, Kerry made this recipe book using two potholders.

Friday Night Sew In Projects

The Friday night sew in for May was a success for me. The past few sew ins I didn't get much accomplished if anything.

I completed a table runner that I had started last weekend. I used the tumbler die from my Accuquilt Go Fabric Cutter and 4 different black/white fabrics. For the backing and binding I used a red/black print.


I also cut some hexagons that I'm going to put together to make two table toppers. I think that sewing these together is going to be a challenging session.


Lastly I finished my apron and some oven mitts for the Pin Up Hot Mama Apron Swap. This is just a sneak peek. I'll post more on the project at another time.
