Cinzia's Birthday Bag

Today I went to get my hair done and I knew it was Cinzia, my loctician's birthday. Now I also knew she loves the color orange and she also loves African prints. Since I gave her something orange for Christmas I decided to give her this bag that I had made a few months ago. I think she likes it, don't you.

Apron In Apron Out

An apron in, an apron out and another swap completed!! This one was Shawnee's Flirty Apron Swap, theme Cupcakes, Cherries, M.E.

Here's the reversible apron I sent to my swap partner. It's similar to the one I made for my grandson's teacher.

And here's what I received from Janet J. of Texas. Thank you Janet for a lovely swap package.

Okay now, on to the next one :-)

More Dresses for AA

I made up a couple of dresses with onesies for AA.
I can't wait to see her in them.

I embroidered a quick design on each onesie first.
Then I added the fabric and elastic with only a slight change from the pattern.

These were really easy to do once I figured it out.
I enlisted the help of Cathy, one of my quilting pals.
The first time I made one, it wouldn't fit over AA's head, LOL.

After finishing these dresses, I grabbed a couple of plain tee shirts and embroidered some designs on them for my grandsons. :-) Can't leave them out now, can I!!!

Another Apron, Another Gift

I had originally made this reversible apron for one of the apron swaps. Then I changed my mind because I found material more suitable for that particular project. I ended up giving this one to my sewing pal Cathy for her birthday. I did make matching oven mitts but forgot to take pictures of them.

AA's Pinafore

I made this dress for my granddaughter Airyana Aliyah whom I call AA because it's much easier to say. I had a seen a sample dress at Woolbearers during a visit and picked up the pattern and yarn right then. This was really a quick and easy knit. I plan on checking out more patterns by this designer.

Pattern: Pinafore Dress by Jil Eaton
Size: 1
Yarn: Classic Elite Yarns Jil Eaton Cottontail, 4 balls
Needles: Size 8

A Few Gifts

These are a couple of gifts I whipped up. The first is a "remote/eyeglass/magazine" holder I made for a friend for father's day. It slips in between the mattress and holds things you easily misplace like the tv remote, reading glasses, etc.

Next is an apron I did for my oldest grandson's teacher. I had originally made this reversible apron for a swap but my daughter asked me just as I was finishing it if I had something that could be used for a gift for her son's teacher. Since I had plenty more fabric I let her go ahead and give this one to the teacher.
