Starghan Completed
I finished the star afghan I started a few weeks ago. It's a present for one of my nail techs who just had a baby.
More Yarn
Now, after this order and the one from Knitpicks I still need yarn for a new CAL starting up at CAL Pals next month. I did stop by Smiley's in Queens last week but they are closed on Wednesday. Duh, no wonder I found a parking spot right off. Anyway this CAL is a filet project, something I haven't done before. I'm undecided on exactly what project I'm doing but I need to decide quickly so I can get the yarn.

Dishcloths!
The first swap at CAL Pals was one of dishclothes. There were two groups of seven participants. Each person crocheted 7 dishcloths and in return received 7 made by others.
Here are the ones I made for the swap:

This was my first time making dishcloths. The swap was a lot of fun to participate in.

Checking In
The weekends go so fast. Saturday I went to a show in Philly at the Walnut Theatre and then to dinner with some friends. Yesterday was a quiet day as the kids went to spend the day with their father. For me, I spent the day under the air working franticly to finish the Lady E stole.
Friday I had visited Seaport Yarns in lower Manhattan. Author/designer Debbie Bliss was in thehouse. I picked up a copy of Pure Silk that she autographed for me.

Also added some yarn to the stash. A few skeins of Cotton Ease that I grabbed while at Seaport and a little order of Shine and Main Line that I ordered from KnitPicks.

Felting is Fun
I made a penny pot for a project going on at CAL Pals. Board members will save pennies and cash in twice a year with the money going to support the community forum. I've been wanting to do a felting project so I grabbed a skein of Manos del Uruguay leftover from a scarf project and crocheted up a little container for my pennies.

Another Seraphina on the Way
Okay, I'm taking a minute here to update this blog. I didn't get any crafting done at all this week. It has been a busy one as I've been in NY for work. As I've gotten involved in so many swaps and Cal's I have decided to do some revamping. No more knitting projects until I get the Lady E done. I did get my summer swap project completed but can't post until my swap buddy receives it. I'm working on another project with two fellow crocheters, again it can't be posted yet. So I need a quick, fast project and another Seraphina Shawl it is since there is a CAL for it over at CAL Pals. I'm using Four Seasons (a cotton wool blend) by Classic Elite Yarns.

What Flavor Margarita Are You?
This is neat. I saw in on Sue's blog. And I do like lime margaritas!!
